Crusades are holy wars conducted between the Christians and Muslims during in the Middle Ages over control of the holy land of Jerusalem

Explain why the term Renaissance was chosen for that time period
It is chosen since Renaissance means rebirth and the period is sort of a rebirth of the Ancient Era, since the influences of the Ancient Era came back in the period after the Middle Ages.
What was the role of Christianity for the normal people living in the Middle Ages?
It dominated the lives of all people, from birth to death, led by the church, where most of them went daily. Every decision they made was based on getting themselves into heaven.

A primary source is a document or physical object which was written or created during the time under study. They were present during an experience or time period.

Could you casually move between the different levels of the feudal system?
No, not at all. Movement within the system wasn't possible. Maybe with extreme luck (or bad luck) you would be able to end up in a different layer, but this was highly, highly irregular.
Explain the importance of linear perspective.
Linear perspective saw artist paint things more true to scale with a 3D effect, in contrast to the flat perspective seen in Medieval artwork
What kind of jobs did serf do during the Middle Ages, and why were they okay with it?
Give two examples of hybrid sources (sources that can be both primary or secondary sources depending on the situation). Also explain why they are hybrid.
An example could be a newspaper, since it could both be that the reporter was there or not. Another example could be a painting, unless you know the context under which it was written.

Around what years were the plague?
Why was cities the perfect place for the plague to spread?
The plague lasted from 1340s-1350's. The cities were ideal for this plague since they were packed with people, had lots of food for the rats and were very filthy and unhygienic.
Which class of people were a part of the Renaissance? Explain why this was the case.
Rich people in general. They had the time and money to focus on more than work. Since artists were hired for every job, only the rich saw the Renaissance since plenty of money was needed to hire the artists. This was the reason many poor people didn't see this revival happen.
How did the Crusades affect the social structure at the time?
To pay for the Crusades, the nobility had to sell off their land. Without as much land, they lost some power. Serfs were better able to become free and independent of living off their lord's land.
