• P – Progression: Starting at the correct level and build up slowly.

• R – Reversibility: Any adaptions that occur to your body as you train will be reversed if you stop.
• T – variation: The same training leads to boredom and lack of full effort. Variation also helps prevent overtraining in one area.
• R+R – Rest and Recovery. Overtraining can make you ill and even top athletes must have one rest day a week to give their bodies time to recover and rebuild micro tears in muscles.

Method:
• Run 20-metre shuttles between the marked lines. Your foot should touch or cross the line each time the bleep sounds.
• When the bleep speeds up you must speed up too.
