What is Trauma?

When repeated traumatic events over an extended period of time (war/combat).

Will agree when in an argument to end the argument although they don't actually agree with what the other person is saying.

When the alarm bell stays on.

A trauma that is experienced by the masses (pandemic, 9/11)
What is historical trauma?
Appears to have a calm exterior in moments of crisis.

Can affect how we feel, think, act, and numb hypervigilance.

Exposure to multiple traumatic events at an early age or within close relationships.

Has a hard time trusting others even when they are not lying.
