What is TRIO?
Each semester, SSSPV offers up to $1000 to students who meet these eligibility requirements:
Pell Eligible, valid FAFSA, enrolled in 6+ units, have an unmet need determined by the Financial Aid Office, and complete program requirements
What is Grant Aid?
First Generation, Low-Income, and/or a student with a disability. For SSSV, students must also be a Veteran, Active Duty, Reservist, or National Guard.

What is the Veteran Resource Center?
Greeting students as they come into the office: introducing yourself, asking for their name, and how you can help them. Always taking initiative and maintaining a positive attitude.

SSSPV hosts and facilitates these to support students with their academic success, financial literacy, and graduate school preparation.

Students must complete this upon entrance into the program.
What is a LASSI Assessment?
This is a free food and hygiene pantry for currently enrolled Fresno State students. Students are able to choose from a variety of perishable and non-perishable items to take home to cook. Hygiene packs are distributed on the first and third Wednesdays and Thursdays each month.

What are the first three programs that made TRIO?
This is a one (1) unit course that meets once a week. The course is designed to give meaningful and useful information to students about their non-cognitive learning and study strategies to help promote student responsibility for individual performance.
What is University 8?
Students must complete / attend either an academic workshop, tutoring session, an outside workshop, a group excursion, an Unlea$hed Module, or watch a recorded version of a workshop given that current semester.

This resource provides assistance in choosing a major / career, resumes and cover letters, mock interviews, and campus employment (and so much more!)

Who is Lyndon B. Johnson?
This is a research-based assessment that helps students improve their learning and study skills. The 60-item assessment evaluates students on 10 scales, including anxiety, concentration, and time management.

Students must submit a report for these learning activities.
What are Unlea$hed modules, recorded workshops, and outside workshops?
This a space which encourages students to grow intellectually as critical thinkers. They use effective strategies to improve content understanding and course grades. They provide Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders and Tutors, Academic Coaching, and Academic Workshops.

What is Student Support Services?
This service is provided to each program participant on an individual basis. Areas covered during these meetings include: semester course planning guidance, monitoring of academic progress, and help with personal counseling as well. Information regarding financial aid, career planning, study abroad programs, scholarships, fellowships, internships, and graduate school information is provided as needed.
