Right before the official change to Utah Valley University, which was voted unanimously on July 1, 2008, held this previous name for 15 years
Utah Valley State College (UVSC)
UVU was established in this year as Central Utah Vocational School, originally created to provide war production training during WWII.
1941
Originally built as five separate buildings, this part of UVU houses seven performance venues, 27 soundproof practice rooms, and seats almost 900 at the concert hall. It also serves as the Utah County home of the Utah Symphony.
Noorda Center
UVU is the production partner of this organization that gives students the chance to work alongside industry professionals each year as actors, assistant designers, and technicians
