How does it reflect Romanticism or Gothicism?

La La Land reflects Romanticism and Gothicism because it is about two people who grow and fall in love together. But they have many dreams and aspirations that drive them apart and their love story comes to an end because of their dreams.

How does it reflect Romanticism or Gothicism?

It relates to Gothicism becuase in Coco Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. He then finds his real great-grandfather who was betrayed by Ernesto de la Cruz for killing him by poisoning his drink.

How does it reflect Romanticism or Gothicism?

It reflects Romanticism and Gothicism kind of both because it shows how powerful his and his wife's love was. Then it shows when she died and how big of an impact it had on him showing how sad he was and how dark it was for him.

How does it reflect Romanticism or Gothicism?

It reflects Gothicism becuase it talks about revenge and how they were both mistreated and looked down upon because they were different from humans and they were never accepted. This led then people being killed and others revenge taking place.

Annabel Lee

What I liked most about this was how Annabel Lee was a symbol of true and pure love in the poem. She and the speaker of the poem share a love so great that even angels and demons cannot separate their souls.

What is the theme, tone, or mood of the modern choice? How does that relate to the historical eras we studied?

The mood and the tone at the beginning of the movie was very happy and charismatic. But at the end of the movie, the tone starts to die slowly into sad and kind of depressing. The main theme to me was that sometimes great love and relationships have to end.

What is the theme, tone, or mood of the modern choice? How does that relate to the historical eras we studied?

The theme is the importance of family, the tone is very serious throughout most of the movie. But at some points upbeat and friendly. This can relate to the historical eras we studied because family was very important and it relates to Gothicism and Romanticism.

What is the theme, tone, or mood of the modern choice? How does that relate to the historic eras we studied?

The theme to me was the importance of love and how we are all going to die it's just a matter of time. It relates to the historical eras we were studying because it talks about death and how death is going to happen.

What is the theme, tone, or mood of the modern choice? How does that relate to the historic eras we studied?

The theme to me was you always cant trust people and might not be accepted. The mood and tone throughout most of the movie are sad and serious it betrays and evil mind of the guy who turned on Maleficent. It also betrayed on how Maleficent wanted revenge.

Frankenstein

What I liked about Frankenstein was the plot of the story and the monster had a reason even though it wasn't right he had a reason for what he was doing. I loved how the monster grew and also learned on his own.

How does it connect to you (or anyone) today?  Who would be most likely to be affected by this work (as in, who would like it or have a response to it)?  Why?

It connects to pretty much everyone now and days and many other time periods. It talks about love and many people will experience love in relationships but it talks about them losing it because of their goals. It shows the real sense that sometimes relationships have to come to an end.

How does it connect to you (or anyone) today?  Who would be most likely to be affected by this work (as in, who would like it or have a response to it)?  Why?

It reflects many people today becuase it was Hector's songs that he created and Ernesto de la Cruz took credit for it now many these days have other people take credit for their work that they did so we can see how he relates to may people.

How does it connect to you (or anyone) today?  Who would be most likely to be affected by this work (as in, who would like it or have a response to it)?  Why?

It can connect to many people today because it connects to how people lose love ones and how everyone will die but its what we do with our life that matters.

How does it connect to you (or anyone) today?  Who would be most likely to be affected by this work (as in, who would like it or have a response to it)?  Why?

It can connect to many people today because there is many bullies that go on in our world. Also many people don't have what society would consider normal stuff so they get looked down upon and are not accepted.

Nature

What I liked most about Nature was how simple its language was to understand and how easy it was to follow. It was sweet and short and it gave many figurative of languages and example but still was simple.

Tell me about the choice.  What is it?  Who made it?  What year is it from?  What is it about/does it show?  If it’s a song, give the lyrics.  If it’s a picture or something to look at, provide the image.

But as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.
