One of our clients is having trouble opening reports in Excel mode, they are unable to see the Solver Reporting add-in in the excel ribbon even after uninstalling and reinstalling Solver Report Designer. We have checked their licenses, and they are the Power users. Attached email screenshot for your reference.

Hello - We are unable to see Dim2 (Department) dimension via the API. We have the API access enabled for a module that connects to Dim2 (Department), and are able to see the other connected dimensions but not Department.

What could be this user's issue?

User has Department used multiple times in their environment ie) as a Dimension and an attribute.

Hello,

I'm trying to format two fields to be red when there is an empty value. I've used the TRIM function to look for empty cell values, but my results end up coloring all of the values red if there is an empty record. How do I only apply this formatting to records that have the empty values?

Hi,Regarding the company Kitron , I have an issue per the attached word document where I get an error when I try to delete multiple values and save the template. Note - The error is in the cloud but not in report designer.

What should the customer try to do as easy troubleshooting steps?

Hello,

I have an integration that has been failing. In the event log, I see an error message for the 'Materials Integration' in the Event Log that reads "An item with the same key has already been added."

What is the most common cause of this error?

There is a dimension and attribute of the same name within the integration. In this case, customer has an attribute called 'Materials' and a dimension attribute called 'Materials'.

When trying to drill down on any number in a report template I am receiving an error message:

After creating a simple report from scratch, the drill down still doesn't work.

Upon checking the Module Schema, I notice that only 'Entity' is activated for this module. Which dimension might I need to add to try to get the drill down to work?

Mapping from business central, attempting to populate the GL Account/Bank Account dimensions if the balancing account type corresponds to the field .

My function is not properly resolving against this field when i put in the text as shown in the image. I've also tried adding the unicode notation for the punctuation in my formula and that still did not resolve.

Please advise.

Hi Support,

I think the user data access permissions are not working like they are supposed to. 

My end user, who only has access to one Department, is able to see all of the data in the report that I ran and shared with him via the Report Archive.

Can you please confirm?

Why isn't this a bug as the customer suggests?

Report Archive sends a copy of a ran report to the end user regardless of their data access.

I keep getting this API error when opening in Solver cloud. I have no issues opening in report designer and I can run it there and insert with no issues. I have also tried to duplicate the report and it doesn't work either.

 

True or False: One of their storage cells was blank for one of their dimensions.

Storage cells were missing Scenario dimensions (it was blank).

Hi,

I try to import currency rates directly into the monthly rates using first the Import functionality.

I get both a green sign "Uploading rates!" and Error!

An issue came up where we send a user something (for this example it’s the Internal Income Statement) though Solver Publisher and for some reason when she opens the attached excel file it is blank. I even sent it to myself thinking that it may be an access issue but I couldn't see the data either. Please see attachment for screen shots.

I have the 'Force Refresh when opening report in portal' option selected in my Report Template. When I open up the report in the portal, it doesn't run automatically.
