Define Sexual Harassment

Who can you go to for help if you are being sexually harassed?
Someone you trust; a parent, teacher, friend, sibling, any other adult, etc.
Give two examples of the messages in the man "car" and lady "flower"
Man "car": tough, don't cry, strong, have money, be in charge.
Lady "flower"": sweet, polite, drama queen, sexy but not too sexy, cook and clean.
List three long terms effects of being harassed?
Depression, anxiety, isolation, eating disorder, stress, guilt, etc.

Too tight, too long, touching other body parts, who it is, unwanted, etc.
BOY ROLE PLAY! Was it sexual harassment and why? Explain.
Yes. Commenting on a person's body and making them uncomfortable.
What does gender socialization mean? Explain.
Gender socialization is the message we get about what it means to be a boy or a girl: what we "should" look like, be into, how we should act, just because of our gender.

Power and Control.

Sexual Harassment includes unwanted contact to non-private areas. Sexual assault is any unwanted contact to a person's private area.

Creating a distraction, asking directly, referring to an authoring or enlisting others.
RANCHER DOUBLE! Individuals can be hurt by the put downs on the side of the "car" and "flower" what other groups can be hurt? Give two examples.
Non-power groups such as women, people who identify as LGBTQIAH+, people with disabilities, etc.
List three reasons it may be hard to report sexual harassment.
Fear, embarrassment, it will get worse, afraid they won't be believed, don't think telling will help, worry there is not enough evidence, not knowing what resources are available etc.
What does "sexual harassment is in the eye of the beholder" mean?
If the person receiving the attention is uncomfortable by it, then it is sexual harassment. Even if you didn't mean it, were joking around or just trying to flirt.
