When two of the men were going to Emmaus and talking about what happened,
Jesus appeared.
Jesus did this at the table.
He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and began to give thanks.
Jesus did this to show that he was not a ghost.
He showed them his hands and feet.

bowed down with their faces to the ground.
These women told the apostles that Jesus had risen.

Jesus asked them this question.
"What are you discussing together as you walk along?"
When Jesus broke bread and gave thanks...
Their eyes were opened and they recognized Him.
When they still did not believe, Jesus asked them this question.
"Do you have anything here to eat?"
The men said to them,
"Why do you look for the living among the dead?"
They did not believe the women because________
their words seemed to them like nonsense.
Cleopas asked Jesus this question.
"Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?
After they recognized Jesus, He...
disappeared from sight.
He opened their minds so that they could
understand the Scriptures.
He is not here;
He has risen!
