Personal protective equipment in office work stations can include these, which are height adjustable and allow for a proper posture with your knees bent at a 90 degree angle.

In your work space you can follow this safety rule by ensuring your floor space is free of debris and tripping hazards, and items are organized and orderly.

Controlling a risk is important so we can prevent the likelihood of an incident or injury. While eliminating the hazard is the first choice, these are the other three options for controlling hazards.

Reporting hazards in a workplace is crucial so UGSC can work at preventing an incident and for controlling that hazard. You can report hazards by using this form.

Among the core values that UGSC holds, this is one that is arguably the most important because it ensures each and every one of our staff makes it home at the end of each working shift and aims at preventing injuries.

Fire extinguishers are located throughout the office. To use a first extinguisher, use the acronym PASS, which stands for this.

A goal at UGSC is to prevent injuries to all staff. This includes implementing proper ergonomics as a hazard control for this type of main injury that office staff may be exposed to.

This document is sent to all UGSC employees to review annually for their specific job position. It outlines their tasks, the hazards associated with those tasks, and the frequency, probability and severity of those hazards. It includes a critical risk rating to allow us to rank tasks within the organization for risk severity.
