In The Lion King, Simba’s uncle, Scar, tricks him into running away after the death of Mufasa. Scar later assumes the throne and rules the Pride Lands with an iron fist, while Simba spends years in exile before returning to reclaim his birthright and defeat Scar in a climactic battle where Simba kills Scar and becomes the new king.
