What does NC on a yellowcard mean for color? What does all color mean?
NC = no color or natural
All color = any color the material can come in FROM the supplier in that color will hold the yellowcard ratings
Why is a F2 rating fairly useless to us as a distributor?
F2 means incomplete testing or the material failed one of the tests (UV/water) and only the supplier of the material knows which. As a distributor we cannot tell based on the yellowcard which case that is
On a chemical structure level, how is PBT different from PET?
PBT has two additional CH2 groups
PET has an ethylene group (2x CH2)
PBT has a butylene group (4x CH2)
What is the impact for a GP PBT compared to an impact modified PBT or PC/PBT?
GP PBT is around 1 or a little less ft-lb/in izod
IM PBT is in the 1-2 ft-lb/in range
PC/PBT is in the 10+ ft-lb/in range
