Separating individuals who have had close contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19 to determine whether they will develop symptoms or test positive for disease.
What is Quarantine?
A form of plan required for any UC in ORR custody who are likely to age out of ORR custody within 2 weeks and may not be eligible for an approved release.

A comprehensive and mandatory screening process conducted by a licensed social worker in order to evaluate a family's background through interviews, and inspections.
What is Home Study?
The purpose for fingerprinting is to have potential sponsors of UAC to undergo a suitability assessment process, which includes verification of identity and background checks of all members of the sponsor's house to ensure safety and compliance.
What is the purpose for Fingerprint Background check?
Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, congestion or runny nose, loss of taste or smell, and sore throat.
What are the symptoms for COVID-19?
Local youth shelters, homeless shelters, or other licensed facilities. Those forms of "organizations" can provide needs and help for UCs within 15 days before aging out.
What are Local Organizations?
Operational bed capacity is the number of beds available for ORR to designate to a UC across the ORR care provider network, inclusive of Emergency Intake Sites and Influx Care Facilities.
What is Operational Bed Capacity?
A form of appointment to verify the potential Sponsor’s identity, application supporting documentation, and gather additional information to inform the Sponsor Assessment.

Case Coordinators are required to conduct third-party review of cases to ensure that the release recommendation complies with all policies and procedures.

What is Medical Isolation?
The care provider must first attempt to locate an appropriate sponsor when placed and admitted into care.
What does Care Provider do when UC is admitted into care?
For cases where a UC has requested an abortion but release to an approved sponsor is imminent, the FFS must elevate the case to their FFS Supervisor, DHUC, and the UC Policy Unit.
What is Imminent Release?
Intake Specialist is responsible for accepting the child’s referral from one of ORR’s Federal partner agencies and identifying the most appropriate initial placement for the child while they remain within ORR custody.
What is an intake specialist?
Field staff who act as the local ORR liaison with care providers and stakeholders. Assigned to multiple care providers within a determined region and, acting as an agent of HHS/ORR, serves as the regional approval authority for unaccompanied alien children transfer and release decisions.
What are Federal Field Specialists?
All children who had close contact with a person with COVID-19 should wear a mask for 10 full days after their last known exposure.

UC requests an abortion at any point, care providers must notify ORR via a Significant Incident Report (SIR) and add all health-related information (including but not limited to clinical records, laboratory results, and Serious Medical Request forms) in the UC Health tab in UC Portal.
