What is the best inference you can make about Emily?

Emily was shocked when she opened the door to her apartment. There were long rips in the couch, as though someone had run knives down the front of it. A lamp was shattered on the floor. Some picture frames were hanging crookedly, some of them had fallen off the wall and the door to her cat's travel cage was open. Not only that, but the door to the birdcage was swinging back and forth and there were feathers on the floor. She could have sworn that she had locked her cat in the travel cage before she left for work. At first Emily thought it might have been burglars. Oh no, she thought. Someone broke into my apartment, trashed the place, and stole my cat! Then she heard the cat meowing in her bedroom. She ran to the bedroom and saw the cat patting one of Emily's favorite shoes with its claws. "That's it!" Emily yelled. "I'm done with this." What is the best inference you can make about how Samantha feels about the bully, Sarah?

So I wasn’t surprised when Sarah offered to take Emma on a tour of the school. I was sure that this was phase one of her full-on attack against Emma and that bizarre outfit.

Because Mr. Stephens is an adult and all adults think Sarah is perfect, he agreed. “Sarah, I think that’s a wonderful idea. Very thoughtful of you.”

This was not a good sign. Sure, Emma seemed weird, but she certainly didn’t deserve to be subjected to Sarah alone. One-on-one. I raised my hand. “Mr. Stephens, would you mind if I went too? I’d love to get to know Emma better.”

(answers may vary)

EX: She dislikes Sarah, She is skeptical of Sarah's intentions, She does not believe that Sarah is a perfect kid

What is most likely the reason the author chose to write this story from the brothers POV?

"Mom, this is so painful!" I complained. "Can you tell Jenna to just make a decision?" "Oh, Jack, just be patient," my mom scolded me. I couldn't believe my mom was telling me to be patient! I mean, what's so difficult about picking out a pumpkin?! I had picked mine out in no time. But not my little sister! She insisted upon walking slowly through every single row of the pumpkin patch to find one just the right size and shape. We had been at the patch for more than an hour! And the worst part? I had been following Jenna around with the pumpkin I picked out right away, and it was getting heavy! "Mom," Jenna asked, "where was that really tall and thin pumpkin we saw? I think that's the one I want!" "I have no idea which pumpkin you are talking about, Jenna," my mom replied to her. (I think my mom was beginning to lose her patience, too!) "It was back there somewhere," Jenna said, pointing back to the many rows we had just walked through. "Unbelievable!" I muttered to myself. I decided then and there that I would not return to the pumpkin patch with my sister next year"

a. Jenna isn't an important character

b. To give the brothers feelings which helps show the conflict

c. Mom's point of view would be boring

d. So that we don't know what Jenna is feeling

b. To give the brothers feelings which helps show the conflict
