Discuss the class system on the Titanic. Describe the accommodations and explain the effects the class system had on passengers during the sinking of the Titanic.
1st class: very wealthy, large and very fancy accommodations, some of the first to get access to lifeboats. 2nd class: working class, nice new, clean and comfortable accommodations. 3rd class: poor, many immigrants, small, crowded, but clean and new accommodations located very low on the ship, took longer to get to safety and lifeboats due to location on board, and barriers blocking them from access to other levels of the ship
