A common every-life analogy for atoms is comparing atoms to LEGOs in a LEGO set. To what degree is this analogy comparable with Dalton’s atomic theory? Explain using Dalton’s atomic theory.
Dalton's atomic theory states that atoms cannot be destroyed, created, or broken. They combine together in whole numbers, without being split. If they are split, we know now that the instability causes huge explosions! So, like LEGOs, they can be combined in whole units, without breaking them into fractions. This analogy is very comparable, minus the fact that LEGOs won't explode when you split them!
