•What is the difference between mediation and conciliation?

•Mediation – 1st mechanism used to resolve HR complaints. It is where a 3rd party, usually called a “mediator,” facilitates the settlement of an argument between two or more parties

•Conciliation – a voluntary method of settling disputes whereby a neutral 3rd party assists the parties involved to identify and discuss the issues, and then to resolve the conflict (more forceful)
