What was the war's impact on westward expansion?

After the war the British got control over the Ohio River Valley lands, which angered the natives. This led to Pontiac's rebellion, which was raids against the colonists. Causing the British to impose the Proclamation of land of 1763, which prohibited westward expansion, but the colonists did not listen because they thought they were entitled to the spoils of the war.
