How does the holy spirit’s guidance bring you closer to God?
the Holy Spirit acts as our conscience. When we are baptized, the Holy Spirit enters into us to be our conscience. As we go through life, we have the Holy Spirit there to guide us. Then, when we reach Confirmation, we continue to show our devotion. The Holy Spirit helps us through our faith, but also with our actions. When we choose the right actions, it brings us closer to God because it is the action Jesus hopes we take. When we choose to do what’s right, we grow closer to God.

How does the Holy Spirit guide the mission of the Church and its people?
The Holy Spirit guides us through life. From the time we are born to our Confirmation, it is there to let us know what is right. Sometimes we don’t choose what is right, even though the Holy Spirit lets us know what that action should be. Although the Holy Spirit guides us all, we have to have the wisdom to choose to go through with that action.

How does Unit 3 help us to understand the Holy Spirit?
This unit taught me how the catholic church grows in our faith and helps people grow, teaches people to love one another and know right from wrong. I learned that the church wanted to bring us closer to God through scripture and tradition. I can follow the holy spirit by praying, being nice to others and making good choices.

How do the sacraments of Initiation connect us to the Trinity?
The sacraments of initiation help us to grow in our Faith. For one, baptism allows the Holy Spirit to enter us. Then in communion we recognize what we have done wrong. Finally, in confirmation we fully say yes to God. During all of this, we are guided not only by the Holy Spirit, but also by members of the Church, like priests, and others who are also Catholic. As we receive these sacraments, we learn more about our faith, and God. These sacraments connect us to the Trinity because they teach us about Catholicity.
