Who is Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR)?
Laws that legalized discrimination and segregation in the Southern United States.
What are Jim Crow Laws?
A new type of young woman who experienced increased freedom and expressed new culture and fashion during the Roaring 20s.
What is a Flapper Girl?
Rejected the changes of the Roaring 20s. Wanted to keep the old and established customs, values, and ways of life. Mostly seen in older population. Conservative ideas.
What is Traditionalism?
The drought and massive dust storms in the Great Plains that forced many farming families to migrate West in search of work and better living conditions.
What is the Dust Bowl?
This New Deal project on the Colorado River provided jobs during the Great Depression and still provides power to cities like Las Vegas today.
What is the Hoover Dam?
The movement of 6 million+ African Americans from the Southern United States to cities in the North like NYC and Chicago.

People had more of this during the Roaring 20s, leading to dramatic social, economic, political, and cultural change.
