These four sensory preferences were outlined in the Learning/Productivity assessment we completed on Naviance.
What is Tactile, Auditory, Visual and Kinesthetic Learning?
Name as many different types of intelligences as you can (from the Naviance assessment). There are 9 total. You must name at least 5 correctly to earn the points.
What are:
Existential, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Kinesthetic, Linguistic, Logical, Musical, Naturalist, and Spatial
Intelligences.
This stage is the idea that once all of your basic needs are met, you can reach your full potential. This is the stage in which someone can relax, or give back, or be creative.
What is Stage 5: Self-Actualization?
These two words, the first letter of one making up the third letter of your Myers-Briggs Personality code, deal with making decisions logically and impersonally, or use personal values.
For example, using logic to solve problems vs. following your emotions.
What is Thinking vs. Feeling?
Is this within your control or out of your control: other people's life choices.
This type of learning involves listening, and if you are high in this type of learning, you probably focus on and remember information you hear.
What is Auditory Learning?
This intelligence includes the ability to play an instrument or sing; as well as a number of other skills such as: recognizing tones, patterns, rhythms, beats and sounds; enjoying and analyzing music; understanding musical structures; and, creating melodies and rhythms.
What is Musical intelligence?
This stage includes financial stability and protection from fear, harm, or illness.
What is Stage 2: Security?
These two words, the first letter of one of them making up the first letter of your Myers-Briggs Personality code, describe how we interact with the world and where we direct our energy.
For example focusing our energy inward vs. outward.
What is Introversion vs. Extroversion?
Is this within your control or out of your control: whether or not you forgive someone.
In your control.
This type of learning involves seeing what you are learning.
What is Visual Learning?
One of these types of intelligence deals with understanding and working with people, and the other type involves the ability to understand yourself.
What are interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence?
This stage of Maslow's Hierarchy of Intelligence relates to the normal human desire to be accepted and valued by others.
Someone in this stage is seeking: self-confidence and respect from peers. Motivation to perform/compete is at its peak.
What is Stage 4: Esteem?
These two words, the first or second letter of one making up the second letter of your Myers-Briggs Personality code, deal directly with what kind of information we naturally focus on and remember.
For example, focusing on "what is" vs. focusing on "what could be."
What is Sensing vs. iNtuition?
Is this within your control or out of your control: how much I let someone into my life.
In your control.
This type of learning involves touching things related to the subject you are learning, or being "hands-on."
What is Tactile Learning?
This intelligence includes the ability to reason inductively (make conclusions based on observations) and deductively (make conclusions based on hypotheses). This intelligence also involves finding relationships between abstract ideas (numbers, for example), recognizing sequences and patterns, recognizing problems and solving them. This intelligence is closely linked with being successful in school.
What is Logical intelligence?
This stage focuses on the physical requirements for human survival.
Someone in this stage is seeking: food, water, air, sleep.
What is Stage 1: Physiological Needs?
These two words, the first letter of one making up the fourth and final letter of your Myers-Briggs Personality code, indicate whether you are more structured (finalize decisions) or more spontaneous (keep options open).
For example preferring a more predictable work pattern/environment vs. preferring to be able to respond to problems as they arise
What is Judging vs. Perceiving?
Is this within your control or out of your control: if someone accepts or supports you.
Out of your control.
This type of learning describes when a person learns through movement/activity.
What is Kinesthetic Learning?
This type of intelligence is the ability to see the big picture in everything.
What is Existential Intelligence?
This stage involves being part of a group of other people. This stage is all about connecting with others and fitting in/feeling accepted.
What is Stage 3: Love & Belonging?
Can also accept Stage 3: Social Needs
