But she lay their limp and lifeless in the bloody, trampled snow, almost literally torn to pieces." The emperor ordered to have Androcles thrown in with the lion. When he was thrown into the arena with the lion, the lion did not eat him because that is his friend. In the end, The emperor let both of them go.
