Death. Separation from God.
Why was God going to send the flood? What did he see happening on the earth?
Sin, wickedness; the hearts of men were evil.

Sea creatures. Fish.
What is a consequence?
What happens after we do something wrong.
What did Cain bring to God as offerings?
What did Abel bring to God as an offering?
Cain brought fruit/crops.
Abel brought an animal. A sheep.
Who is the Good News about that we read in the Bible?
Jesus Christ.
Why did God have to punish the sin of the world? Which attributes of God give us the answer to this?
He is holy and just.

Clean and unclean animals.

Garden of Eden.

He killed Abel.

The thoughts of the heart are evil. It is deceitful and desperately sick.
What did God tell Noah to do?
Build an Ark.
Where did the water come from that flooded the earth?
From below the earth (the fountains of the great deep) and the sky above (windows of heaven).

Why did God have to punish sin? (It is an attribute of God.)

If we just trust our heart, which the Bible calls deceitful and sick, where will it lead us?
Into sin and trouble.
How is the door of the ark a picture of salvation from sin?
God made a way for Noah to walk through the door of the ark and be safe from the flood. And when we each put our trust in Jesus and believe in him, it's like we're walking through the door to be saved, too.
