What is the primary goal of University Studies 1 is to assist in a successful transition from high school to university learning. This is accomplished by investigating relevant developmental theories and by doing learning activities to understand and apply them. In addition, student are introduced to and practice specific academic skills, by inquiry into life skills necessary for citizenship in any diverse community, and by attaining knowledge of campus policies and procedures at the University of California, Irvine.
