Covering these while helpful to avoid loud noises going off in the building is a fire safety violation.
What are smoke detectors?
It is unlawful to tamper with any fire equipment.
Putting bags of this outside my door or in the receptacle near or in my floor lobby is not allowed.

Only non-dangerous varieties of these are permitted on campus as pets due to the university pet policy.

What are kegs, beer bongs, bottles, shot glasses, or cans?
Due to a popular ban that was approved in 2016 by Student Government, this is the only acceptable place to smoke on campus.
What are parking lots?
If a student indicates any of these things to you, you must immediately report the incident to UNKPD due to the university's Title IX expecatations (name three).
What is Dating/Domestic Violence, Sexual Harassment, Stalking, Sexual Assault?
Students can work with this office if they need an animal approved due to emotional distress or other concerns.
What is Disability Support Services?
In regards to appliances, these are two that are not allowed to be used in residence hall sleeping rooms.
What is: toaster ovens*, toasters*, “George Foreman” -style grills*, electric skillets*, electric grills*, halogen lamps, microwave ovens*, convection ovens, and window mounted air conditioning units. *Allowable in Antelope/Nester Kitchenettes.
When you ask a UNK student for this commonly used card, they are to produce it to remain in compliance with university policies.
What is an NUID?
Even if it smells bad in your room, removing or poking holes in these common items found near windows are considered a policy violation.
What are screens?
Clery Act indicates that many of us are these which means we must report crimes and other relevant information to UNKPD in a timely manner.
What are mandatory reports (agents of the university)?
Unless there is a life safety concern, we generally provide students this amount of notice before we perform health and safety checks- a common practice that we performed once a semester prior to the pandemic.
What is 24 hours?
This is what label or approval that should be on any extension cord or surge protector in a student's room.
What is UL (Underwriters Laboratory)?
This is what you write after you've called UNKPD & AOC to notify them that you suspect alcohol in the room because you've heard evidence such as "chug, chug, chug," and loud clanking from that room.
What is write an Incident or Maxient Report?
Smoking marijuana comes with a slew of commonly used items that could be in a room, name two items commonly found with marijuana.
What are bongs, rolling papers, deseeding trays, scales, grinders, or any item used to disguise drugs?
These are allowed to stay no more than three consecutive nights in a month without express permission from the RHC (other general rules apply).
