What is the 7th amendment?

What is the 14th amendment?
This amendment banned the manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors.

This amendment grants an individual the right to keep and bear arms.
What is the 2nd amendment?
This amendment allows Congress to levy an income tax on citizens from any source without apportioning it among the states, effectively removing an earlier constitutional barrier that prevented a direct federal income tax. Ratified in 1913, it established the basis for the modern federal income tax, ending the previous system that relied mainly on tariffs and excise taxes. This amendment ironed out some of the most glaring bugs in the original system of the electoral college-- electors in the future would still cast two votes, but one of the two votes would be for president and the other would be for vice president.

This amendment states that certain natural rights belong to the people and may not be fully stated in the Constitution.
What is the 9th amendment?
This amendment protects people's property from being taken from them without just compensation. It also grants certain rights to criminal defendants such as the right to remain silent, no self-incrimination, double jeopardy, a right to a grand jury for capital crimes, and a right to due process.
What is the 5th amendment?
This amendment bans national courts from hearing certain lawsuits against the states; scholars refer to this as protecting a state's "sovereign immunity"

This amendment protects us from being forced to quarter soldiers in our homes.
What is the 3rd amendment?
This amendment prohibits denying citizens the right to vote based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude. It was a key Reconstruction Amendment intended to secure voting rights for newly freed African American men. While it dramatically increased Black voter registration and political participation in the South, many states later used legal tactics such as poll taxes, literacy tests, and intimidation to disenfranchise voters, rendering the amendment's protections ineffective on paper for decades.
What is the 15th amendment?
This amendment reduced the length of time between the most recent set of national elections and when a new Congress and president took office, shifting the start date of the new president to January.
What is the 20th amendment?
This amendment states that the Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures. When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies.
What is the 17th amendment?
This amendment protects against cruel and unusual punishment, excessive bail and excessive fines.

This amendment abolished slavery.

This amendment offers more rights to criminal defendants such as: a jury trial in criminal cases, a right to counsel, a speedy and public trial, an impartial jury, defendant must be informed of crime they are being charged with, confrontation clause, subpoena power.

This amendment limits the president to only two terms in office.
What is the 22nd amendment?
This amendment banned poll taxes in national elections. (Later on all poll taxes would be deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in the case Harper v. Virginia Board of Elections)

This amendment covers the issue of presidential succession and presidential incapacity after the assassination of JFK in 1963.
