What is the difference between HTS Code and HS Code?
HTS Code is the Harmonized Tariff Schedule Code which refers directly to the U.S. system of product classification and is assigned by the U.S. International Trade Commission (US ITC). (10-digits)


HS Code is the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System and refers to the international system of product classification (6-digits).

What is the difference between a Parsed HS Code and a Classified HS Code on Panjiva?
Parsed is pulled directly from the Goods Shipped field and Classified is Panjiva-generated from our amazing algorithm.

Where's that Puerto Rico data?
This is a domestic shipment and does not require a BL. However, if the cargo owner and the vessel owner are the same, we would expect to see the shipment. Each U.S. territory has its own unique policies (i.e. Guam, American Samoa).

Do we have a list of Carriers that are not covered?
No. 


Engineering can dig in and make an estimate for a high-value client regarding coverage of a big carrier. But, it's hard because Carriers are always going in and out of business and re-using names. Hard to keep it all updated and tracked.
