What is Spontaneous Generation?
Believes we should be tolerant of competing religions in order to "get on with one another."
What is Descriptive Pluralism ?
The process: after biological death, the soul is reborn in a new body.
What is reincarnation?
The belief in a single deity.
What is monotheism?
The belief that various spirits inhabit plants, animals, and physical objects.
What is Animism?
The theory that the complexity and information within DNA reveal evidence for design.
What is Genetic Information Theory?
Believes we should be tolerant because no single religion can be universally true for everyone.
What is Prescriptive Pluralism?
This worldview believes all human beings have an innate predisposition toward submitting to God and acting holy.
What is Islam ?
The belief in a multitude of deities.
What is polytheism?
It not only denies God exists but contends that religion should be vehemently criticized and opposed.
What is New Atheism?
Believes life exists throughout the universe and was dispersed by interstellar bodies like asteroids or comets.
What is panspermia ?
It interprets the teachings of Jesus as a call to free the poor from materialistic and political oppression.
What is Liberation Theology?
A state ruled by religious leaders or one particular religion.
What is Theocracy?
The belief in one God recognized as three separate and distinct persons: Father, Son, and Spirit.
What is Trinitarian Monotheism?
A general distrust toward any religion claiming to know absolute truth about reality.
What is Theological Suspicion?
The principle stating that the universe contains the properties necessary to make the existence of intelligent life inevitable
What is the Anthropic Principle ?
Believes everything in the universe is ultimately divine.
What is Pantheism ?
Believes reality is ultimately spiritual
