What is the average stay for the RISE/SMILE programs?
30-60 days. Programs are individualized.

•Be enrolled in VA healthcare
•Have a clinical need (mental health, SUD, homelessness)
•Be medically & psychiatrically stable
•Be able to perform daily self-care
•Not be a danger to self or others
Does the veteran have to stay until program completion?
No. Veteran can self check out if they feel program is not for them, they have resolved chief complaint, or self drop for other reasons.
