a trusted person who is not traveling with you so they can look out for your location, check in while you are away, or even keep an eye on your house/pets when you are away

retrace your steps, call your bank and cancel your bank card if you lose your wallet, ask businesses if anyone has seen the item or has a lost and found, etc
Do you plan your vacation activities before you travel or when you get there?
Interesting! Making plans before can be helpful to know what is in the area and what to budget your money for but it can also be fun to participate in something you find out about when you get there.
