Why are school workshops so important?
To teach digital skills to youth.
Coding and digital literacy is a new aspect of the curriculum, and some teachers may not know where to start.
A lot of the schools lack the supplies needed to teach coding (like a class set of computers).
To make STEM topics less intimidating to kids and introduce them to the super cool stuff we get to do!
To give youth the chance to meet university students (you!!) who are studying STEM, and they can ask questions and learn what it's like to study STEM in university.
