Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

This reveals to us that Jesus is the only way for us to get to heaven. This is comforting because RELIGION doesn't matter. Everything is all about JESUS!

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

The bad news is that we are all sinners! Sin is anything that we do that is against the nature of God. Sin separates us from God because He cannot be a part of anything that is against His nature, which is perfection.

The WORSE news is that because of our sin, our earned consequence is DEATH - eternal separation from God, our Father.

BUT the good news is that God sent us a GIFT that offers and promises ETERNAL LIFE with JESUS!

- Once we accept the gift we are promised a way out of our punishment and are offered eternal life instead.
