I was originally the Baker Brothers’ federal style home built in 1780 and have been restored to display its period architecture. Dine in my antebellum surroundings and enjoy southern comfort food at its flavorful best. My main dining room is graced by a significant collection of statues created by John Rogers (1829-1904). These plaster statuaries (from 1859-1892) tell the story of everyday life, the theatre, Shakespeare, horses and the Civil War.

Visit our beautifully restored springhouse, it is very unique. Rent the entire house and have all the privacy you can imagine. Charmingly decorated in primitive country featuring efficiency kitchen, living area, bedroom with 2 queen sized beds, TV, AC, phone, washer, dryer, bath, gas grill and fire pit. Kitchen is stocked with a variety of breakfast foods. Originally the site of a tannery in 1776, visitors to will find this setting to be one of the most beautiful, peaceful and private destinations on Earth.
