You need to activate your patient's POA.  Where do you find the Note to accomplish that task?

There is an ACP Note default in your Progress Note or you can go to ACP Document and select ACP Notes.  You then will communicate to the 2nd MD to continue the process.

MyCare is the name of the patient portal that we have available to us through Epic.   When can the patient see their lab results in MyCare? 

Lab results can be seen in MyCare 24 hours after they are resulted, whether or not they have been reviewed by the ordering provider.

Dialog boxes are pop up boxes which ask you things like "Are you sure you want to Cancel?".  They typically have two choices from which to choose. One of the choices is the focus, or the anticipated response.  Rather than "mousing" over to your choice, how can you make your selection?

Simply enter or spacebar to respond to a dialog box if you are answering the same as the anticipated or focus choice.

Once your nurse has completed rooming your patient, how does the system tell you that your patient is not taking his/her medication as prescribed ?  and what is your responsibility (in the system) if they are taking the medication differently than prescribed. 

Highlighted RN discrepancy.   The provider must address this by changing the dose/sig, and removing the note or discontinuing the medication.

ABN stands for Advance Beneficiary Notification.  When would you see this ABN popup and what options do you have to address it?

ABN pops up when the test is not deemed by the insurance company to be medically necessary based on the associated assessment.  You MUST address it either by changing the assessment or getting a waiver signed by the patient notifying the patient that the cost of the test will become his/her responsibility.

Postpone - if patient declines

Override - if test was done but there is not an order, result or administration or done elsewhere or documented manually -foot exam

Edit Modifier - change frequency or eliminate if patient is not a candidate.
