This must be pulled back/up in a groomed bun, appear clean and neat, must be natural (no colors).

There are two, practice and proctored assessments, that are used to gauge student mastery of concepts for success in coursework and NCLEX-PN exam.

What is immunization policy?
Students will adhere to HIPPA and are prohibited from discussing patient in public areas, photographing any patients/visitors, copying or posting about patients.

Under any condition, this counts as an absence.
What is tardiness in excess of 30 minutes?
This must be limited to one watch, one wedding ring, and one post-type earring (no other piercings permitted and no necklaces).
What is jewelry policy?
This test is given at the beginning of each clinical course and a score of 90% or higher must be achieved by third attempt to continue coursework.
What is math proficiency policy?
Students who present with any symptoms of illness such as fever or diarrhea; any open, draining lesion or skin condition; upper respiratory infection, conjunctivitis; and casts/splints or any movement limiting device should not report to clinical.
What is physical wellness policy?
This device is not allowed during nursing class except for breaks and is not allowed at clinical facility except during assigned lunch times.
What is cell phone policy?
The students are expected to attend all nursing theory classes and clinical hours for the full schedule time.
What is attendance expectations ?
This type of body art may not be visible during clinical or on campus (a white or black long-sleeved shirt under uniform may be worn to cover these).
What is tattoo policy?
These must be passed with a cumulative, combined score of 75% or higher.
What is all exams and quizzes?
These may not be taken while at any clinical agency. Any of these used for pinning ceremony, personal group, or clinical group experiences must be taken outside of agency and may only include SJVC students and faculty.
