A list that explains the symbols on a graph.
What is a Graph Key?
A data plot where digits with larger values are "stems" and smaller values are "leaves."
What is a Stem and Leaf Plot?
The inside of the circle.
What is the Interior of a Circle?
The smallest amount; the smallest number in a data set.
What is Minimum?
A graph that looks like steps. The y values are the same for an interval of the x values.
What is a Step Graph?
A graph that shows the frequency of data along a number line.
What is a Line Plot?
Part of a circle from one point on the circle to another.
What is an Arc?
The amount of surface inside a closed boundary. It is measured in square units, such as square feet or square centimeters.
What is Area?
A graph that uses vertical or horizontal bars to represent data.
What is a Bar Graph?
one of the four regions that a set of perpendicular lines seperate, on a co-ordinate system.
What are Quadrants?
A segment whose endpoints are the center of a circle and a point on the circle
What is Radius?
Something that stands out in a data set. For example, the median, mode, minimum, maximum, and range of a data set.
What is a Landmark?
A bar graph where the categories of information in a graph are stacked on top of each other.
What is a Stacked Bar Graph?
The stem part of the graph has each number twice. the leaf part has two parts, one is 0-5, and the other one is 6-9.
What is a Double Stem Plot?
A graph in which a circle and its interior are divided by radii into parts. Sometimes called a "pie chart."
What is a Circle Graph?
The value or number that appears the most in a data set.
What is Mode?
Two bar graphs combined into one used to compare two sets of data.
What is a Side-by-Side Bar Graph?
An unlabeled graph or plot. The viewer is asked to give a situation that the plot or graph might represent.
What is a Mystery Plot?
A tool used to measure and draw figures that involve percents of circles.
What is a Percent Circle?
The distance around a 2-dimensional shape along the border of the shape.
What is Perimeter?
