What is the address?
This process is initiated when the appropriate case manager receives a complaint regarding the resident’s quality of care. The resident, parent/guardian, and/or the referring agency may express this complaint. The resident will not be discriminated against or treated unfairly if a grievance process is initiated.
Upon receiving this process, either in writing or verbally, the case manager will investigate and take appropriate action to assure a resolution of the complaint. If the complaint is unable to be resolved within 5 working days, the case manager will refer the complaint to the Re- view Committee.
The Review Committee will meet and take appropriate action within 5 working days. The resident, family and referring agency will be notified in writing of the actions taken with 7 working days, and a copy will be forwarded to the resident’s medical record.
If the complaint is not resolved to the satisfaction of the resident, family, and/or referring agency, the Review Committee will involve the Chief Executive Officer. They will also recommend a course of action, which may include scheduling an Interagency Meeting to explore other courses of action as deemed appropriate.
