Walking to the park, should the class be in front of Ms. DeLuca, or behind Ms. DeLuca?

Behind.

100

What side of the road should you always walk on, to ensure cars coming can see you?

The right side! Cars will see us sooner on that side.

100

When we're in the school, stopping at the bathroom before we leave, how should we wait?

Quietly. In a line.

100

We are at the park, and you can't see Ms. DeLuca... what do you do?

Find her and play closer to her. If you can't see her, she can't see you! That's not safe.

200

If the person in front of the line reaches a break in the sidewalk/road, what should they do?

WAIT! Wait for everybody to catch up and get back together so we can cross together. Look both ways, give Ms. DeLuca the signal (thumbs up), and wait for the signal back to cross.

200

If there is a car stopped at a stop sign, who has the "right of way"?

We (walkers) do. BUT. The person in front needs to make EYE CONTACT with the driver, and wait for them to wave us through.

200

If we are bringing a ball to the park, how are we going to carry it?

In your BACKPACK. Not in your hands.

200

We are walking to the park. Your ball falls out of your hands and rolls onto the street... What do you do?

STOP. DO NOT GET IT. Tell Ms. DeLuca and she will walk to get it.

300

If there is a pedestrian coming towards us on the street, which way do we move over so they can pass us?

To the right.

300

When we're walking, are you allowed to cross to the other side of the street?

No. For no reason. Ever. Stay with the group.

300

Can you bring your water bottle to the park?

Of course. But, if you leave it there, we are not going back for it. It is your responsibility.

300

We are walking to the park and there are cars parked on the street in our path... What do we do?

Walk around (close but NOT TOUCHING) it.
400

Should we be touching each other on our way to the park?

No.

400

When Ms. DeLuca blows her whistle 3 times, what does that mean?

Time to go. Stop playing your game, and join the group.

400

We are walking to or are at the park. We see a REALLY cute dog. What do we do?

Nothing. Do not touch the dog. Do not ask the owner to pet the dog.
