This is a disability awareness group that works to build relationships and connections between the families of children with disabilities and Brandeis students.
What is SPECTRUM?
Required to be hosted by programs at least once each year, these are an opportunity for each program to work with their community to educate, advocate, and further the work on the larger systemic issue their program is designed to address. The guidelines entail including BOTH an educational component and action step. Programs should reevaluate these every year to ensure community needs and systemic changes are reflected, and should collaborate with other WG programs, clubs, and community orgs whenever possible.
What is Community Action Program (formerly Educational Outreach & Advocacy)?
This will provide volunteers with non-program specific information about risk management, volunteer expectations, waivers, Department of Student Engagement programs, as well as leadership opportunities. All Waltham Group volunteers must complete this once during their time volunteering at Brandeis.

This program has had several successful collaborations with other student organizations to host creative programming for the kids, such as the Prosthesis Club, Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, BeWISE, and the Robotics club.

This policy typically lasts for one month, and includes two check-in meetings with the Waltham Group President and/or House Rep, as well as weekly check-in emails that must be responded to with 48 hours.

-They do not have valid reasons for missing two MNMs (ex. forgot it)

This is a Leadership & Mentorship Program for BIPOC college and Waltham high school students. The program hopes to foster educational, leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
