What are the reasons for needing to do a pre incapacity wash up?

Wash up required as relevant tax year earnings weren’t available at point of set up- so we either set them up using an estimate or interim calculation based on next previous filings. They may also be receiving an advance due to the client being on Weekly compensation for more then 3 months and not having the relevant filings available still.

Do we need to have bank and email verified?

Yes- Validate before payment, especially if the last payment was 12 months or more

For an under or overpayment

What happens with a no change assessment?

No reassesment Letter. A comment is added on the task - “Reassessment completed – No change to calculation, therefore no letter sent as per Washups Burndown agreement”.

What are the reasons for a post incapacity wash up?

With Post incapacity- the client has been on weekly compensation for a full financial year and have lodged their tax year earnings which means we can update with correct abatement based of these filings.

Do we need to run a RTE for all wash ups?

Yes- as covid subsidies aren't shown on Juno

What is unreasonable influence?

Unreasonable influence- this is where a client alters their earnings with the intent to gain higher levels of weekly compensation- keep an eye out for shareholder employees.
Things to check are- extra or refiling, how profit has been allocated to directors, any change to earner status or company practice. +30%  increase should be a trigger point

Do we need permission to run a RTE?

We do not need to request client consent to do this and may run an RTE on the relevant claim/s for this purpose.

What would we use a TAS referral for?

No  TAS input unless Eligibility is in question 


Where there is a significant increase in income, we will be proceeding with the reassessment using the available information and processing as normal. Should there be any concern around this OR other flags are present, please discuss with Matt or Leanne before proceeding.
