Because the temperature is already warm, so eating warm foods causes us to be even warmer. In the winter warm foods will warm us up.

Because a forecast that far out is not very accurate. The weather could change.

It is not directly in or out of the sun - so as the earth rotates - we get different amounts of sunlight making the climate different at different times of the year.

Because they are easier to get during a particular time of the year due to conditions for growing being better.
