This pet was the first virtual-only pet, released in 2008. Good luck finding one!
What is the Magical Retriever?
This feature, exclusive to Webkinz Next, was created by popular demand and allows for players' pets to be entirely unique, but your chances are limited!
What is sparking?
This underwater prototype was given a new name before its redesign and release—I don't blame Ganz for switching amid the Dr. Quack rumors.
What is the Killer Whale?
These plush pets also came with a code, but these ones let you name a star on their now-defunct website.
What are Shooting Stars?
This early Deluxe-exclusive game was scrapped due to its similarities to Tetris. Boo, copyright infringement.
What is Bamboo Break?
This was the first flying pet, released in 2006. It did not unlock a treetop room, but that doesn't keep it from having a castle in the clouds.
What is the Pegasus?
This replaces eStore points as the higher-value currency in Webkinz Next. While they can be earned through regular gameplay, they are also sold for real money.
What are diamonds?
Sally owns this feathery prototype. It's arguably the most recognizable with its bright color!
What is the Flamingo?
This line of collectible cards came with codes that unlocked horses you could care for on their website, of course!
What is Bella Sara?
Do humans exist in Webkinz World? Perhaps terrifyingly, this retired game suggests the answer is yes.
What is Leaf Leaf?
This was the first pet to start as an eStore exclusive, released in 2008, and then later have an official plush released. How sweet!
What is the Bubblegumasaurus?
These limited-edition pets are reportedly the rarest Webkinz plush ever officially released and include the Rainbow Retriever, Pinkalicious Lion, and Blackberry Giraffe.
What are redemption pets?
This fan-favorite prototype was also an April Fool's pet in 2019 but turned out to be part of a clothing design instead.
What is the Lobster?
One fast-food chain saw a golden opportunity to create their own virtual world, though its happiness came to an end when this MMO shut down in 2014.
What is McDonalds McWorld?
Directive creator Karl Jobst has stated in interviews that he hated this game. It reportedly did not make sense to people.

This pet was the first eStore exclusive pet, released in 2008. Its release helped Webkinz World grow!
What is the Floral Fox?
Where's Wacky? More like "Where's Arte?" since he was replaced by this host in the Next Curio Shop.
Who is Amanda Panda?
This prototype heavily resembles a Ty plush. One sold for over $1000 on an eBay auction in November.

Its long-established doll line still exists today, but this university-themed virtual world does not... Perhaps in part to the dolls’ ~$100 price tag...
What is American Girl Doll Innerstar U?
This game was written in ActionScript 1 and was retired due to incompatibilities with the Flash wrapper used. FORE shame.
What is Webkinz Mini Golf?
This pet was the first underwater pet, released in 2008. Gold star release to me!

This pet has been sold seasonally online in Webkinz Next as an "uncommon" version of the existing starter kitty.
