The story begins with some girls in the Pretty Pennies Club trying to make tee shirts for a race. They buy the shirts, and make them special. When they are washed, though, they shrink. They ask for their money back, and the store owner says no. The Pretty Pennies Club girls picket the store. In the end, the store owner gives them their money back.

The theme of this story is that when you stand up for what is right, you can help make change. The girls stood up against the store owner. They helped make change with their picketing when the store owner changed his mind, and did the right thing by giving them their money back.
