  • If the client uses a Wage Rate Program, then this box must be checked in order for Wage Rates to apply to this pay code.
  • Wage Rate Programs can only apply when Use Employee Rate is selected.
  • Wage Rate programs are defined under Setup > Time & Attendance > Wage Rate Programs. They are assigned to a Pay Class or an Employee Position.
  • Rate Factor
    • This is the factor that the Employee Rate will be multiplied by. Usually this is 1.0 for Regular pay, 1.5 for Overtime Pay, or 2.0 for Double pay.

  • are useful for Shift Differentials.
    • Shift Differentials often pay a flat amount per hour, added to the employee’s Base Rate.
    • When Double-posting, the employee will receive Regular Pay with their Regular Rate, and the Shift Differential Pay Code will pay only the differential pay (e.g. $0.25).
    • When Single-Posting, the Shift Plan will combine both the pay code rate from the Hours Distribution Plan and the pay code rate from the shift plan.
      • This means that if the Shift Code Rate Amount is $0.25, it will add $0.25 to the employee’s BASE rate.
