What should you do if you will be late to a shift but you are on the way?
Call the KVC and update them (also call/text your coworker if its like the Campanile)
A visitor with a wheelchair, stroller, suitcase etc is on your tour, how are you changing your tour route.
On the traditional route go down the side of HAAS, go up the bridge by 4.0 hill, watch out for Campanile steps.

There should not be no long stretches of silence, so how can you fill the time?
Talk about the history/purpose of your surroundings, talk about a topic you can walk/talk to (internships, transportation, student life etc), ask vistors questions, talk about something relevant that you experienced in the area
Mention Co-ops, frats, private apartments etc

No please decline if they are insistent take it and give it professional staff to be used for future events.

If you cannot work an assigned shift, what are the proper steps to find a sub? What should you do if you cannot get a sub for your tour/shift?
It's your responsibility to find a replacement. Drop your shift on TRS --> email the tour sub request email --> post it on SLACK --> text other guides that show up as available personally. Always keep Erin updated if its an emergency! (ALL STEPS IN MANUAL)
What do you do when you have an unruly visitor within your tour group?
On a GCT, ask the responsible adult to handle the problem, tell them you will end the tour if the behavior continues. If you must end the tour, return to Sproul and notify staff
If a member of the public joins your group and becomes disruptive, call the UCPD non-emergency number (510) 642-6760 for assistance
