1. Have a desk empty aside from a pencil/required materials/water
2. Be sitting quietly, facing the board/teacher
3. Have all materials from the prior class put away neatly.
In order to access the computer cart, you need:
Your pencil breaks - OH NO! What can you do?
1. Grab the spare pencil that should be in your desk at all times.
OR
2. Get a sharpened pencil from the sharpened pencils bucket.
AND
3. WAIT to sharpen your pencil until a break.
You haven't finished your homework and it's due THIS MORNING - what are your options?
1. Turn it in unfinished and receive a lowered grade
2. Not turn it in at all and receive an incomplete
3. Speak with Mx. Mann/the teacher and ask for an extension.

1. Utilize the break space in the back of the room for a few minutes until you've calmed down.
2. Ask for a sensory room break during independent work time.
3. Ask for a movement break during independent work time.
If you feel unsafe for any reason, what should you do?
1. Speak with a staff member IMMEDIATELY
2. Remove yourself from the unsafe situation ASAP.

You're in the middle of a problem/answering a question but the teacher won't stop telling you that you need to go to your next class - what can you do?
1. Ask for 2 more minutes to finish up this problem before you leave.
2. Say okay and put the problem away to finish later.
3. Take the problem with you to your next class and ask the teacher if you can have a minute to finish something while the class comes in.
When is the reading/choice space available and how many people may sit there at once?
1. During silent reading
2. During indoor recess time
