Yes! Your 2nd gator is more than welcome to bring a non-edible treat for the class such as erasers, pencils, bookmarks, etc. They could also donate a class gift such as a read aloud book, a board game for indoor recess, or a puzzle.

Morning work - each day we have morning work that we typically go over together during morning meeting. The kids know that this is their time to correct mistakes. However, there are also days that they are turned in for us to assess how they are doing. We also check in when we are doing our writing units.

Will there be homework in 2nd grade?
Each class is a little different! However, we will each be sending home a very similar homework log throughout the week. There will be a blank one for you to take home today so you have an idea of what you will be looking for next week. They may also take home unfinished work that needs to be completed.
