Platte River Academy has done well in this competition held for the primary grades.  The goal is to know as much information as possible about specific works of literature.

Where was the location of the old PRA building?  

On University and Colorado.  There is currently a Landmark Education center there, as well as a hockey sporting goods store.

Did you know that PRA used to hold weekly church services?   This might have fueled the speculation that we were a religious school, but really they only rented our gym.   Did you know that they purchased a significant item that has been left behind (they closed down a couple years ago.)  What is their legacy?

Mr. Duque coached the PRA team in this sport several years ago, and is responsible for a couple trophies in the PRA collection.   BTW, this year's team looks like the top seed in the upcoming tourney.

The air filtration system.

The road directly in front of the front doors (not Colorado Boulevard) is named after a former principal of the school.   This person served for 10 years.   What is the name of the person or the street?

PRA has a bronze statue on the trophy case.   This was created by the mom of former students Shewli and Shiv Ghosh.  It was created as a thank you to PRA for the years of service we provided not only to her children, but for all of the graduates of PRA.   What is represented by this statue? 

A panther, coiled, and ready to pounce.

This PRA landmark is managed each day by the scouts.  It is their job to respectfully attend to this at both the beginning and end of the day.   This is no trivial duty, as there are very specific ways to do their job.  What is the landmark, and the job of the scouts? 

The landmark is the flagpole, and the duty is raise and lower the flag.

Each year the Douglas County School District awards some of the top teachers in every school.   PRA has had a representative each year this award has been offered.  Recent recipients include Mr. Duque, Ms. Peterson, Mr. Willsea, Ms. Bidwell, and many others.  What is the name of this award?
