How do classes work? How big are they? 

You get to build your schedule 

General ed classes have more options, classes more specific to your major are offered less often (sometimes only once every other year)

Classes are held on a "block-like" schedule.

When you register for a class, it will say:
 
ENGL 1010 or ENGL 101 MWF 1:00-1:50 3 credit hours
or Hist 1700 TR 11:30-12:50 3 credit hours

General Ed classes are bigger (1200)

Classes just for your major are (My smallest was 5)

Rent $1200 per semester (more expensive to live on campus)

What are "credits?" How do they affect me? How many do I need each semester?

A typical bachelor's degree requires 120

Most classes are typically 3 credit hours each

12 required for "full-time student" status

18 is max allowed per semester (typically). If you register for more, they may charge you additional fees

Many of my classmates were not of my faith, and did not share my values. I felt out of place many times

Professional theatre is not like high school theatre. Many shows were about topics and had content I did not agree with.

How do I choose a major? When do I have to decide? Can I change 

80% of college students change their majors at least once. 

Most students change their major at least 3 times

You can enter college without deciding on a major, you'll be "undeclared." Use that time to take your general education classes or electives. Take entry-level classes ("Intro to . . . 1000 or 101") in fields that seem interesting to you.
