Medical Situations

I was studying vigorously and I got a paper cut, may i have a band aid?

I'm sorry I do not have any. However, you can go to the health clinic on campus!

Student has a terrible headache, fever, unable to move on their own and they are seeking your assistance. Student is very sick but audible (they can talk to you about when their symptoms started, etc)

Talk to the student and get as much detail from the student (when the symptoms started, what they are, increased or decreased) call the AOC

What do you do if there is a student has an allergic reaction, both minor and severe

If the reaction is minor, such as a rash --> give them student health services if the reaction is severe, such as anaphylactic shock, call 911 and then AOC/ if they can tell you where their epi pin is you can give it to them but they have to administer it unless they show you were it needs to go

Student breaks a bone in front of you/ or a student comes to tell you a student just broke a bone

While you are en route to the situation, gather as much information as you can, call 911 explain to them the situation, then call AOC

Alcohol/Drugs Situations

approach the situation, student is told to dump the contents out, walk with them to properly dispose of it, ensure there is no more alcohol in the room, write IR

Students are having a REALLLY good time in CTW 447, you hear bottles clinking and words that are often associated with alcohol? What do you do?

Student has come back to the building drunk and obviously distraught? You have a conversation and find out they were assaulted.

Call 8911 to assess the situation (student has a choice to continue with case with regards to reporting, explain to them you are a mandatory reporter) AOC once you have UNK PD there, write IR

talk to them, you need to call 8911 cause in this situation they have a plan and the means to do so. Stay with the student till they are taken to where they need to be, call the AOC as well after the 8911 call Write IR

How do I put a work order in?

Go to the facilities and planning homepage, type in work order request/ or ask your RA for help

The washer is not working, what do i do?

RA put the work order in, the work order link is on the desktop (ASI laundry solutions) you will need the machine ID number for the work request, include my email as well

There is water leaking in my bathroom, it's coming from the ceiling?

Check out the location, go to the room directly above it and talk to the students above, if the shower curtain is not all the way in the tub, it will cause water to leak onto the floor and or seep through the ceiling. Ask the resident to clean up the water in their room/ work order can be put in to cover the issue/hole
